Budleigh Salterton

Well again the winter is almost over!! Snow forecast for this weekend, but at the moment I can enjoy the wall to wall sunshine. Not warm enough for camping yet. We are getting on very well with the garden and have a bit of colour in it now. Tulips and daffs, other plants still in the greenhouse. We are also planning our holiday to France, how far we go depends on how much the petrol will cost and if there is any with the looming strike. Well if we have to stay at home so be it I have plenty of photos from past holidays to keep me happy. We are not far from the beach and if the weather is fine I for one shall be very happy to sit on the pebbles and paint for a bit.

Well now the weather has improved and the snow has been forgotten, life gets back to normal. We are looking forward to the spring and planning our summer holidays. Where to this year? France again I think there is so much to see and we like the French way of life, they say the grass is greener on the other side. I don't agree, I don't think living in France full time would be a holiday. I would have to learn the language for a start and I don't mean a few French phrases, such as please where is the nearest toilet. Talking of toilets in France, that's another thing that would put me off. It's fine for a few weeks in the summer, I can put up with the hole in the floor, mind you I use the disabled toilet due to my disabilities I can't squat as I used to and there is a proper toilet in the disabled toilets but not every town has a disabled toilet. So squatting it is and hope for the best, keep my fingers crossed that I don't fall head first down the hole in the floor.

Budleigh Salterton by car to ?

Welcome to my blogg, together we can travel to where the car takes me. Around the West Country and off to France or maybe North Wales. I would like to combine pictures and facts maybe a bit of history and legends but not a lot about me.
Budleigh Salterton where I live is an unique place and a wonderful place to live. Not much goes on here and yet if you look beneath the surface there is so much to do and see. Locally known as Gods' waiting room, well I for one wouldn't want to be anywhere else. People here are so friendly and helpful everyone is cheerful although many have problems with age related illness it doesn't stop them having a good time.
So that is enough to read lets have a look at some pictures.
Well that's enough for my first attempt, please stay with me as I will be back in a few days with pictures of Exmouth.
Best wishes
